These songs function as a hook that catches the audience.
Reminding, bringing back moments, open hearts and souls and releasing emotions and feelings.
They are high-quality products.
Well-written, well-played and sung, well produced.
Listened to for more than 30 years without a sign to stop.

7“-vinyl singles...
Singles were produced to promote one song especially.
They were cheaper than LP’s and made access to music affordable.
7” vinyl gets increasingly rare and the vinyl-single as general promotion for mainstream pop nearly vanished in the early 90s.
Every 7” vinyl-single comes with a dedicated cover especially designed for this particular song.
It tells stories, create feelings, and they are often mind-blowing beautiful and intense.
1973 portable sound system...
The “Sanyo Solid State Stereo Music Center” I use, was built in 1973 (same year that I was born!).
It is a record player, a radio, a tape deck and has a microphone that plugs into it.
I can control the volume and plug it into a PA, amplifier or mixer (RCA-Plug).
It also operates stand-alone, as the upper shell are two speakers and it can be battery-operated.
Being built in the 70’s, for portable use, and being played with records in different conditions, its sound is unique.
Cracks, rustles and sometimes breaks, when there is a deeper scratch on the vinyl, create an organic sound as antithesis to all the perfection that rules the DJing world, these days.
- “You have to use these record players!”
- “It has to be that particular mixer!”
- “Without at least 3 laptops you are not taken serious!”
DJing is passion, not funds.
Talking between songs…
I use one record player and single records.
I have to change the record after every song.
Talking between the songs seems to be a cover-up for this system error, but isn’t.
I introduce the next song, give remarks on the further one and tell stories about the songs, the artists and the time it was released…
It allows me to create expectations, a special feeling, bond with the audience and expose myself.
Silver suit…
The skin-tight silver whole body spandex suit expresses vulnerability, distortion, and showing it all.
What you see (hear) is what you get.
Be who you are, no need for pretending.
Dancing…
By dancing the songs I become the songs.

Wir sind alle mit diesen Liedern aufgewachsen und sie sind auf der ganzen Welt bekannt, ohne zu einer Szene oder sozialen Gruppe zu gehören.
Sie sind der „Hook“, der das Publikum fängt.
Erinnern, Momente wiedererleben, Herzen und Seelen öffnen und Emotionen und Gefühle befreien.
Es sind hoch-qualitative Produkte.
Gut geschrieben, gut gespielt und gesungen und gut produziert.
Sie werden seit mehr als 30 Jahren gehört, ohne ein Ende in Sicht.

7“-Vinyl-Singles...
Singles wurden produziert, um ein bestimmtes Lied exklusiv zu vertreiben und zu bewerben.
Günstiger, als LPs, machten sie den Zugang zu Musik erschwinglich.
7” Vinyl wird immer seltener und als Vertriebsmittel für Mainstream-Pop verschwand es bereits Anfang der 90er fast vollständig.
Jede 7“ Vinyl-Single hat ein speziell für dieses Lied gestaltetes Cover, das Geschichten erzählt, Gefühle erzeugt und sie sind oft überwältigend schön und intensiv.
1973er Koffer-Sound-System...
Das “Sanyo Solid State Stereo Music Center”, das ich verwende, wurde 1973 gebaut (das selbe Jahr in dem ich geboren wurde!).
Es ist ein Plattenspieler, ein Radio, hat ein Audiokassetten-Deck und ein Mikrofon, das direkt angesteckt wird.
Ich kann die Lautstärke damit regeln und es direkt an eine PA-Anlage, Verstärker, oder Mischpult anstecken (Cinch-Stecker).
Es funktioniert auch völlig eigenständig, da der Oberteil aus 2 Lautsprecher-Boxen besteht und es kann mit Batterien betrieben werden.
Da es in den 70ern, für mobilen Gebrauch gebaut wurde und mit Schallplatten in unterschiedlichstem Zustand bespielt wird, ist sein Klang einzigartig.
Krachen, Rauschen und manchmal Sprünge, bei tieferen Kratzern in der Schallplatte, schaffen einen organischen Klang, als Antithese zu all der Perfektion, die in der DJ-Welt heutzutage herrscht.
- „Du musst diese Plattenspieler verwenden!“
- „Es muss dieses bestimmte Mischpult sein!“
- „Nur mit mindestens 3 Laptops wirst du ernst genommen!“
DJing ist Leidenschaft, nicht Geld.
Moderationen…
Ich verwende nur einen Plattenspieler und Single-Schallplatten.
Ich muss nach jedem Lied die Schallplatte wechseln.
Moderationen zwischen den Liedern sind nur scheinbar ein Vertuschen eines Systemfehlers.
Ich sage das nächste Lied an, mache Anmerkungen zum vorhergehenden und erzähle Geschichten über die Musikstücke, die Künstler und die Zeit in der sie erschienen sind...
Ich erzeuge dadurch Erwartungshaltungen, bestimmte Gefühle, verbinde mich mit dem Publikum und exponiere mich.
Silberanzug …
Der hautenge silberne Ganzkörper Spandex Anzug drückt Angreifbarkeit (Verletzlichkeit) und Verfremdung aus und zeigt alles.
Was du siehst (hörst) ist was du bekommst.
Sei du selbst, es gibt keine Notwendigkeit, dich zu verstellen.
Tanz…
Indem ich die Lieder tanze, werde ich zu den Liedern.
